PROSE POETRY

MY SISTER says she searched for the girl per my request the girl I liked twenty years ago. My sister says she can’t tell if the source is accurate but it looks like she may be married and living in Your Town, USA. She says she doesn’t recognize the husband’s name and the source says he’s older than us so she doesn’t think he is one of our former classmates. However she doesn’t know if it’s a good idea to contact her. We don’t know if her husband would be jealous or if it would be safe for her to talk to other men, in her culture, since she is married. Some cultures are strict about things like that. But does the source say I used to hear her giggling from the school bus seat behind me or that I would follow her eyes in our class to see how she was feeling? No the source doesn’t say anything about that does it?

Oh it’s just me the weirdo in one of my moods, missing her from twenty years ago. Imagining what she looks like now. I bet she is still beautiful. I don’t care how many kids she gave birth to. Oh I bet she is still beautiful.
